February 4th, 2012

Wow, has it been a long time or what.  I have been busy with work and haven’t been able to post.  Had a nice run for a while where I hit at least a three team parlay a night.  Then, went on a little downward spiral and gave most of that back.  Lately, I’ve been building the bankroll back up.  A couple plays have kept me from being up big but sometimes the games just don’t come in.  The losses were tough as my games had good leads at halftime and/or in the second half.  Let’s see how things go posting.  Lots of plays so no in depth chatter about them.  Sorry.

First half (all hoops) – FSU -2, So. Fla, over 54, GaTech over 50, OhioSt. over 53, AZ over 60, UNLV over 58 MTSU over 58.

Straight – FSU -4 large, Temple -8 medium to large, Ohio St. -2 almost medium, VaTech -4 small, Ga St. -2 small to medium, Dayton +11.5 almost medium, UMAss -2 small as it seems like there is a bad smell I’m missing, LMU -2.5.  Most of these I got last night or at opening time.  I’ve been busy spinning parlays and teasers so I am late posting.

Moneylines – Ohio, Ore. St., UK, Elon, VCU, UNCW, Ark. LR, Tulane, Ill. St., Nevada, BYU, Zags and Cal Riverside.

Lots of plays.  Did some big moneylines and other parlays with a couple teasers with the straight bets.  If I hit one or two parlays then I am golden since that means those straight bets come in.  For tomorrow, I am still looking at props which is going to be a good portion of today.  I got on the under when it came out and have it at 56.5.  Going to tease Giants and the under as I still can get it at +3.  Not sure it stays there.  Not taking the moneyline because I think this could come down to the last possession.  Still trying to see about Gronkowski so I am not heavily invested yet.  But, my under is a “reasonable” size since it was a little bit higher than I expected.

Take care and good luck with your bets.  I will do my best to be back more regularly and at earlier times but I can’t make any promises.  I am pulled in a lot of directions right now.  Bet smart and beat your book.  Back at you tomorrow with some props which has usually been good to me.  Later.

New Year’s Eve 2011

December 31st, 2011

Not great yesterday but a microcosm of what I’ve been going through.  Totally wrong with ISU.  Luckily, I didn’t jump on the halftime number.  Then, was good on hoops games, and lucky, but fsu losing at home to an IVY league school made it a losing day instead of a big day.  That killed two decent sized moneyline parlays.  So be it.  That let’s me know about that team.  You can’t teach size but you have to score.  Come on Hamilton,  how do you not outlast an IVY team over three overtimes?  The acc should be embarrassed.

Short on time so posting quickly.  Thought I had gotten this out already.

Football, gunshy so no straight plays though I like TAMU, UCLA, UVA and Vandy.  Lean GT as well.  Teasing all of those along with the A&M over 63.

Hoops, taking Indy and Atlanta straight in the NBA.  Both -2.  Not going big because both played last night and B2B games have killed teams so far this year.  Like them with the short number on the road though.  Lean Memphis too.  Forgot, took Okla City on the moneyline even though Phoenix looked better last night.

College hoops, love Ark. St. at -2.5, like Wisky under 125 MSU -6 at nebraska and St. John’s +13.  Taking moneyline on Indy St., Miss. St., MSU, Cal, Standford, AZ, St.. Pary’s and UNLV.  Think those all win and I stayed off some other games I think win to try and spin these into a big winning day.

Take care and good luck with your plays.  Back at you all later with more winners.  Let’s have a big day and take back some of our money. Let’s end the year right and then start it off on fire tomorrow and next week with the BCS bowl games.  Have fun, bet smart and be safe out there celebrating tonight.  Back at you with the NFL in the new year.

Later.

12-30-11

December 30th, 2011

Hello.  Anyone there?!?

Been busy and out and about.  Sorry for the lack of posting, I guess.  I have yo-yoed up and down.  Been a net loss over the time I’ve not been posting.  I have hit at a winning percentage but have caught bad breaks in missing parlays and teasers by one game.  Also, have hit high percentages but missed my big game of the night.  Those things happen and I am still short on time so I will get these out there and then take off.  Good luck to all.

Already played BYU +8.5.  HUGE on Iowa St. first half pick and game -1.  Think Rutgers struggles to score and the D won’t be enough to keep them there.  Taking Oklahoma on the moneyline and teased with Iowa St. and some games tomorrow.  The Iowa RB suspensions should make them one dimensional and OU should tee off.  Think OU’s offense clicks and they score at will.  Waiting to see if the first half falls below a touchdown and will play that.  Probably play it any way closer to game time.

Hoops.  Moneyline plays on Orlando, Miami, Boston, Milwaukee and Atlanta in the NBA.  Small play on Philly -2 straight.  Colleges, moneyline plays on Murray St., Auburn, UCF, Missouri, Oral Roberts, fsu and ND St.  Leaning to teasing Duke to 15.5 with Missouri, Murray St. and Oral Roberts.

Going conservative today to try and build up the bankroll and get ready for some games.  Looking at tomorrow’s games more but also trying to get on the NFL info.  Been doing that all week with the injuries and players resting.  Think there are stil more IR moves through tomorrow.  I’ll get plays up Sunday morning.  Don’t think I am doing much Saturday night which is helpful.  Take care and best of luck.  Beat your book and win some money and get ready for a great new year.  Should be better than this year.   Later.

Wednesday 12-14

December 14th, 2011

Almost broke even last night.  Didn’t post the weight of my bets and was lucky in putting the majority on the Miss. St. first half.  They gave that away which cost me a parlay.  Disappointed to finish three points from a win in the CMU first half over.  Their going 13 minutes without a point absolutely hurt.

Small card so a few plays only.  Taking Depaul first half and game -5.5 and 10 respectively.  Taking Cincinnati over 50 first half.  I think some guys step in to provide some scoring and think they lose some on defense on the road.  Taking Maryland moneyline.  Also took EWU +10 as I don’t think UCLA is there yet.  Covering myself with a small hedge on the UCLA moneyline with some other plays.  Lean Ole Miss but can’t pull the trigger with their injuries and questionable players.  Also lean No. Colorado as CU is bad on the road.

That’s it.  Take care and good luck.  I will do my best to post my plays tomorrow for Thursday and the weekend as I will be gone Friday through early Sunday.  Take care and best smart and beat your book.  Back at you tomorrow.  Off to look at football some.  Later.

Tuesday 12-13

December 13th, 2011

Hey all.  Sorry for the absence.  I have had some personal obligations that kept me from posting.  Probably not a bad thing as it has been a net loss over that time.  Not down that much but a losing period nonetheless.  Did win last night with a carryover from the Giants and the over and a teaser on the over last night.

Tonight, small card.  Taking Mississippi St. in hoops at -12 for teh game and -8 for the first half.  Think this is a blowout.  Also taking them with the Wisconsin moneyline.  Also a small play on the Minnesota first half over 59.  Thinking about a play on Wyoming but I will consider it more before tip.

I am traveling this weekend but will try to post plays before I go.  I have been picking at a high percentage but missed my top games which killed all kinds of bets including teasers and parlays which led to the losing time despite picking well over 50%.  Take care and good luck with your plays.  Bet smart and beat your book.  I’ll be back tomorrow.

NFL Week 13

December 4th, 2011

Up and down day yesterday.  Not good on the first half plays but very good on the game plays.  UConn’s comeback helped.  Some tough breaks on losses in the first half overs.  But, got really lucky in hitting two decent sized teasers and a parlay that crossed sports with a hockey play that was unposted.  Those three made a nice day a great one.  Like last week, not sure I should push my luck so I am toning things down a bit assuming I will have my usual offsetting day.  Regardless, I have things to do so I will give little reasoning and will be hoping for a better day with ingame betting as I lost most yesterday in hedging out of game bets that came back to win.  So be it.

First half – Miami -2.5 (love this), NYJ -1, ATL pick, SF -8, Dal over 23 (small just a feeling with Kolb back), GB over 27 (like this almost as much as Miami) and NO over 27.

Straight – Miami -2.5, CHI -6.5 (think Orton plays and it is a small playbook which helps the D), Cincy +7.5, NYJ -2.5, Atl -1.5 and NE under 49 (feeling Belichik calls off the dogs and works on the run game late).

Teases – all the straight, GB over 47, NO over 47, TB +9 (Josh Johnson is good and think they win this game, might moneyline the Bucs for small plus money) and TB over 39 (really like this as both teams should get into the 20’s).

Moneylines – SF and NO.  Big cost so putting them with some hockey and basketball lines to get a decent return.

Hockey – Minnesota, Detroit and Vancouver (Calgary played late last night so on the second part of back to back games on the road).

College hoops – First half, VCU over 58, USC over 56, Cak iver 62, KDU over 61, Miss over 59 and USM -1.5.    Straight – So. Miss, Baylor under 144 (think Bay stops NW’s motion offense and it is a slow game), VCU and Maryland +2.5 (think ND is finding itself after the injury to one of its stars).  Moneylines – Clemson, OSU, Creighton and Loyola Marymount.

That’s it.  Take care and good luck with your plays.  Here’s to hoping we all win money from our books and get some extra holiday cash to help spend for the economy.  Be good and bet smart. I’ll be back no later than tomorrow.  On some overs so let’s see those points.  Later.

CFB Championship Saturday

December 3rd, 2011

Sorry for the absence but I took some time off to celebrate the big weekend last week.  I did play some games but it was probably good I didn’t post them because it has been a losing week so far.  This is late so I will post plays and lines.  Some of these I got when they opened and others were bought down.  Here we go.

First half – BYU -5, Uconn over 23, LSU -7, Wisc. -6, Boise over 33, Houston over 37 and Baylor -1.5 (small as I think RG3 is okay after the concussion).

Straight – Uconn +9, Wisc -6.5, BYU -6.5, USM +14.5, USM over 71 and Baylor -2.5 (also think UT struggles wihout the running backs might tease the under as insurance RG3 isn’t all there).

Tease – all the straight plus LSU over 39 and Wisc. over 48.

Moneylines – Pitt, Wisc, LSU and BYU.

Hoops – UK, CSF, UCONN FSU and Wisc. moneylines.  Taking Pitt +1 and Purdue +7.  Watching this mostly as it is a full day and there will be much to learn from the action but football is my main focus.

Take care and good luck.  I plan to do a lot of ingame betting with last weekend’s winnings.  Let’s hope today is good as well.  There should be a couple upsets and hope I am off them (or playing them).  Back at you tomorrow at the latest.  Win big and bet smart.  Later.

Thanksgiving Sunday

November 27th, 2011

Can’t complain about yesterday.  Still not sure how St. John’s lost at home  but it happens in hoops.  And, that was my only loss after the great NC State comeback.  Not going to go crazy with the profit so I will stay “normal” today.  Worn out because I didn’t get home till late last night/early this morning.  Trying to get these out earlier in case it helps anyone.

First half – Chicago over 20, Cincy -4, Carolina -2.5 (square play but I like it), Pitt -6 and Houston -3.

Straight – Cincy -6.5, Carolina -2.5, TB +3.5, Oakland -2.5. Got some good lines and bought a half point a couple times to be safe.

Tease – all the straight and Pats over 43, Cincy over 30 and Tampa over 37.

Moneylines – NYJ, Pitt and Houston.

I have a feeling there could be some weird games today.  Really just heavy on Cincy as I think they roll at home today.  Going to be playing a lot of halftime games to see how things go.  Take care and finish the weekend strong.  Hoops is out there and I am hoping to be up so I can pound Pitt tonight as I think they roll first half and then slow things down in the second.  Good health to you and your plays.  Back at you later tonight or tomorrow for a good MNF matchup.  Later.

Thanksgiving Saturday

November 26th, 2011

Sorry for not posting yesterday but I was in a rush.  Probably a good thing as I picked games well but put them together badly.  Got hurt badly by the UM moneyline and the NIU over.  Was way off on those reads.  Bad job by me.  Maybe I rushed it.  So be it.  Think I learned from it and am moving on to today.  Good mix of faves and dogs.  Here we go.

Football.  Straight – Purdue -6.5 (bought this down early this week, love it), ISU +28.5 (like this a lot and got it early this week, don’t think they let down), Wyoming +35 (scared because this line has dropped like a rock and might have to tease it the other way if it becomes too “public” of a play but think Wyoming will hang within five scores).  Tease – all the straight plus fsu +4.5, Vandy +9, Rutgers over 33 (small because I see it into the lower 40’s and maybe much higher if UConn takes some chances in the air), Rice over 44, michigan -.5, MSU over 46 (think N’western hangs in there and might get the upset, taking the over is safer in case I’m wrong) and Cincy under 56.5 (think Cincy grinds this out with the young QB).  Moneyline – Wisconsin, Arizona, Miss. St., Baylor, SDSU and USC.

Hoops.  Straight – Uconn -1 (and under but I don’t see a line, taking this probably wherever it’s at but hoping in the 130’s), Iowa St. -4, No. Iowa -3 (smaller) USF -4.  Moneylines – Davidson, StJohn’s, StJoe’s, Wisc. and San Diego.  Lean to UNC but need to look into the returning players at UNLV.  Think this could be high scoring and was going to take the points if in double digits.  Not sure now.

That’s it.  Take care and I might get some later plays up.  There is the Hawaii game late and plenty of hoops to try and use some winnings on.  Good luck with your plays and let’s win some money to get ready for tomorrow.  Be good and see you tonight but no later than tomorrow for more action.  Later.

Thanksgiving

November 24th, 2011

Sorry for the absence.  My computer got jacked up and I had to put it in.  It was tough enough to get some plays in and they were okay.  Slightly up for the time gone.  I apologize.

Now that that’s out of the way, how great is today for sports.  Lots of food and there is great NFL all day.  And, I love the last game.  But, I have to get out of here to get my first round of food on so I am going to be short.  Lots to post between football and college hoops.  Here we go.

Football (mixing this all together) – straight taking 49ers +3.5 huge.  Think they win outright.  Taking Texas +8.5 in college.  They stay close with their D and could win outright but back door is very likely.  Teasing both of those along with Miami +14, Miami over 37, Detroit +13, Detroit over 48, 49ers under 47.5 and Texas over 46.  Thinking of taking second half over but I want to see how things play out.  If I win early then I will most likely play Miami first half and then switch.  I think they stay close but don’t win.  Probably same for Detroit but they are getting too many points and this is a game GB could lose.

Hoops – love CoC -1 over UCF, love ‘Nova -11 (think Igot this as a mistake because I had seen closer to 13 but don’t think it matters), fsu under 138 (they should dominate inside and I assume there won’t be 50 fouls), StL -18 (BC sux bad).  Taking moneyline on UConn, Minnesota (DePaul has beaten nobodies and get a taste of reality but they are home so playing it safe) and NM St.  Lean to FSU but might add them after the first football game.

There they are.  I might amend this later because there are some good hoops games late and I love San Fran and the under teased.  I’ll put amended in parentheses if I do.  Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Give thanks for the good things in your life.  There is much that is bad but focus on the good and hopefully that brightens everyone’s day.  Best wishes to you today and hopefully the next year brings us all better health, wealth and prosperity.  Back at you tomorrow (or tonight) with more winners hopefully.  Later.
