Congratulations to Sunny Oh on her first professional golf tour win!
Hello HazzSports’ members and guests. I'd first like to say that HazzSports is an amazing site, not just for athletes, but for sports fans, coaches and friends. There are so many ways to utilize this online sporting network. The one most important aspect I enjoy about HazzSports is that it gave me the opportunity to keep in touch with my college teammates that I miss dearly. That and the Arcade games, they’re addicting ;) Tina Mabanta, one of my UNLV golf teammates, introduced me to this site. Since then, I’ve kept in touch with her and a few other former UNLV athletes.
Now that you know I’m an athlete, I want to share some brief thoughts about my life as a professional golfer. I currently play on the Duramed Futures Tour. This tour has established itself as “the Road to the LPGA and Beyond” and has been designated as the official developmental tour of the LPGA. The Futures Tour is definitely an enjoyable place to compete against great developing talent. There are 18 professional tournaments in 15 states this year on the Futures Tour. Let’s just say that I do a lot of traveling!! Yes, it is difficult to fly in and out from LA to the East Coast constantly, but you do get used to it.
I try to exercise religiously and eat healthy so that the continuous traveling does not affect my physical condition. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a big part of my training to prepare for tournaments. My current practice schedule usually consist of going to the gym in the morning, practicing for at least 4 hours, and playing 9 or 18 holes. My main goal this season is to gain my LPGA tour card. I am very excited about this season. So far it has been a great start for me winning the first tournament of the year, and I look forward to next upcoming tournaments.
Thanks for reading my blog.
